Karen Drinkwater Photography

Karen was born in Oldham, Lancashire, England. She relocated to Moraga, San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA, in 1996, with her husband and two sons.

Growing up in the Greater Manchester area she had access to a wonderful city and the breathtaking Yorkshire moors.

After moving to the USA she studied many different aspects of photography, including; portraits, night photography, Infra-Red film photography, and darkroom, processing and printing her images.

She is now a successful freelance photographer, shooting portraits, events, headshots, sports, and Infra-Red, now using a converted to Infra-Red digital SLR body.

She is an in-house photographer for a well-known, International, energy nutrition company, based in Emeryville, in the San Francisco Bay Area, shooting company events, in-house and on location, and headshots.

She is an active member of the Northern California Professional Photographers, with numerous merit print awards.

She regularly visits the UK and has work hung on both continents. In the UK her work is represented by National Portrait Gallery photographer Wolfgang Webster, and her work is exhibited in the Wolfgang Webster Gallery.
